Head of National Police (DGSN) and of Territory Surveillance (DGST) Abdellatif Hammouchi received, Friday in Rabat, Director of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns, accompanied by US Ambassador Puneet Talwar and some of his assistants.
Talks focused on the security situation and the risks posed at the regional and international levels, in addition to the monitoring and anticipation of threats by terrorist organizations, especially in the Sahel region, said a DGST release.
This meeting was an opportunity to follow up on the working visit made by Hammouchi to the US on 13-14 Jun. 2022, in which he met Burns, Director of U.S. National Intelligence April Haines, and Director of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation Christopher Wray.
This visit confirms the shared desire to strengthen security cooperation and consolidate bilateral coordination in countering-terrorism and various security threats.
