20 Moroccans had lost their lives in Turkey following the deadly earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria early March, said Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.
Speaking at the lower house’s question time, Bourita said that 154 Moroccan Expatriates were rescued, 16 among them were injured, and 33 are still missing.
He added that no cases of death or injury were reported about Moroccans in Syria.
Bourita emphasized that the kingdom took care of transporting the corpses of Moroccans to the homeland before the Turkish authorities order to bury the bodies in Turkey to avoid disease outbreak and epidemics.
