Draft decree no. 2.22.632 on direct assistance to widows with orphans in precariousness was approved on Thursday, said Spokesperson of the government Mustapha Baitas.
During the press briefing following the weekly cabinet meeting, Baitas said that this decree is a temporary measure to help these people benefit from the assistance.
The support will benefit 3.5 mln underprivileged families, as well as 7.7 mln orphans.
The law will be generalized by the government at the end of this year, in accordance with the Royal Guidelines and as a continuity of the Social Protection Program.
Allowances will cover all disadvantaged categories, including citizens aged over 60.
