Morocco took part, on Apr. 04-06 in Montreal (Canada), in the 8th edition of AEROMART, an international business convention of the aerospace industry, the Moroccan Investment and Export Agency (AMDIE) had announced.
More than 3,000 participants and 1,500 companies from 45 different countries participated in the Event. Morocco was the only African country in this edition.
The Moroccan delegation was led by Minister Delegate for Investment Mohcine Jazouli, and included notably AMDIE DG Ali Seddiki, and President of the Group of Moroccan Aerospace Industries (GIMAS) Karim Cheikh.
142 companies are operating in the Moroccan aviation industry, employing nearly 20,000 people and generating an annual turnover of 2 billion dollars, according to AMDIE.
“AEROMART Montreal is an excellent opportunity to reach out to industry leaders and establish large-scale partnerships and agreements,” said Jazouli.
The agency also highlighted the accomplishments of companies established in Morocco, such as the recent installation of Canadian company GAL via a production unit of aircraft cabin interiors that will create 240 direct jobs.
The promotion of Morocco’s economy internationally is achieved through the brand “Morocco Now” which is a Gold sponsor of AEROMART Montreal.
