The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unanimously agreed, Wednesday, on Morocco’s bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, alongside Spain and Portugal.
This came during a videoconference chaired by CAF president Patrice Motsepe.
All the committee members extended their full support for Morocco as an African country.
King Mohammed VI already announced Morocco’s bid to host the 2030 World Cup jointly with Spain and Portugal.
This joint bid is considered stronger because it gathers two European countries and an African one.
Morocco organized the 2023 Club World Cup on Feb. 1-11, 2023.
