More than 109,000 Moroccan children aged 4 to 6 were enrolled in about 4,720 new pre-school units in rural areas, between 2020 and 2022, said the World Bank (WB).
The financial institution said that the Early Childhood Development Program is making substantive progress in the implementation of a system for planning, monitoring and evaluation of ECD.
More than 5,200 preschool educators had been recruited and trained on appropriate pedagogical practices.
Data on early learning outcomes is being collected among 53,449 children enrolled in rural preschools, it said.
