Morocco and Cambodia signed, on Monday, an agreement on Air Services to promote tourism and trade between the two countries.
The signature took place during the meeting of Cambodian deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn with Morocco’s Foreign minister Nasser Bourita.
The Moroccan senior official announced a scheduled visit by Cambodian Prime Minister, as well as the elaboration of many bilateral accords in economy, mainly on investment protection and double taxation banning.
He added that Morocco has increased the number of university scholarships for Cambodian students from 5 to 20.
The Cambodian minister affirmed his state’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and the UN-brokered process to reach a political, negotiated solution to the Sahara issue.
He thanked Morocco for supporting the Cambodian request to obtain the observer status in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and announced his country’s support for Morocco’s election to the Security Council in 2027-28.
Cambodia withdrew the recognition of the so-called SADR in 2006.
