Morocco condemned, Saturday in the strongest terms, the burning of the holy Quran in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The horrific act was carried out in front of the diplomatic representation of a Muslim country, while the police was watching, wrote the foreign ministry in a statement.
Morocco considers this a provocative act that harms the feelings of over a billion of Muslims, especially in the month of Ramadan.
The Kingdom of Morocco urges the Danish authorities to ensure the supremacy of the law and firmly deal with such irresponsible, inflammatory acts to prevent their recurrence.
