The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (FAVT) is willing to establish new air routes to the Kingdom, the Russian News Agency TASS reported.
Russia is planning to launch direct flights to other countries like Malaysia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and KSA.
Russia is already operating flights via its S7 Airlines and Aeroflot to Morocco, mainly to Mohammed V Airport of Casablanca.
The Russian economy is struggling due to Western sanctions following its conflict with Ukraine and is trying to open new economic windows.
The new aviation connections with Morocco might enhance Moroccan tourism, one of the nation’s economic engines, knowing the Kingdom welcomed more than 40.000 Russian tourists in 2019.
