Moroccan boxer Khadija Mardi qualified, Thursday, for the Women’s World Boxing Championships finals, scheduled on Mar.26 in New Delhi.
Mardi defeated, in the semi-finals of category +81 kg, Russian Pyatak Diana with a score of 5-0.
The Moroccan champion will face Kazakhstan’s Lazzat Kungeibayeva.
Yassmine Mouttaki (-48 kg) was eliminated in the semi-finals by Uzbek Fozilova Farzona.
Widad Bertal (-54 kg) and Rabab Cheddar (-50 kg) also took part in the Championships and were eliminated in the second round and the quarter-finals.
Around 320 boxers representing 70 countries, including Morocco, are taking part in the Women’s World Boxing Championships.
