Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Amideast and Boeing launched, on Tuesday, an innovative STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education and training program in Ennour Youth House in Rabat.
The program seeks to raise Moroccan youth awareness regarding ecological sustainability and career opportunities, and provide them with the competencies they will need to address these concerns.
As of April, sixty young men and women aged 18 to 25 will participate in the STEM for Sustainability Youth Program.
President of Boeing Middle East, Turkey and Africa Kuljit Ghata-Aura, who was present during the ceremony, said “the programs developed by Amideast and Boeing provide a great opportunity to prepare young people for exciting careers in the aerospace industry.”
Amideast’s Regional Director for Workforce and Entrepreneurship Jennifer Smith stated that “this program draws on local community support while also advancing the Moroccan government’s national youth development priorities”.
The ceremony was also attended by Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth Mustapha Messoudi and U.S. Embassy – Morocco’s Economic Counselor Stephen P. O’Dowd.
