French President Emmanuel Macron is the enemy of “himself” because of his solo policies that pushed away even his most loyal supporters, said e-newspaper Mediapart on Tuesday.
The passing of law 49.3, regardless of the fierce opposition from the people flooding the streets and some deputies, is consolidating the Anti-Macron wave.
Macron, with his disproportionate ego, is paying no heed to what is going on in the streets and giving no clarifications whatsoever to the citizens, it said.
The Elysée became a somber place led by Macron only, with a miserable press and communication service. Even the advisors are clueless about what is going on with the government.
French officials stopped thinking about problem solutions and are just waiting to see how things will unfold. They are putting everything on hold, awaiting the French population to accept the changes and move on as Macron predicted.
The president is planning neither a reshuffle, nor a referendum or a dissolution. Instead, he will receive King Charles III in the Palace of Versailles next week, a move deemed catastrophic by an executive advisor, reported the same media.
The unrest in France’s streets is a rejection not only of the pension reform, but also of Macron’s one man show that destroys social cohesion, said Mediapart.
