Morocco’s Minister of Economy Nadia Fettah Alaoui signed, on Friday, a Memorandum of Understanding with Head of International Cooperation Relations at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) Alice Usanase.
The MoU aims to strengthen ties and promote investments between AFC and Moroccan economic stakeholders.
The accord provides support for Moroccan actors to seize investment opportunities in Morocco and in African countries, mainly in the infrastructure sector.
Assistance in project structuring and funding, support for strategic industries in Morocco, and boosting Moroccan enterprises’ export capacity are among the initiatives proposed within this framework.
Morocco became a member of the AFC in 2021, pursuant to King’s Mohammed VI vision to strengthen South-South cooperation and implement projects for the development of Africa.
