The Tangier Renault plant will start manufacturing, as per 2024, Dacia’s Jogger Hybrid which combines two electric motors and a combustion engine.
The announcement was made at a press conference attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, CEO of Dacia Denis Le Vot and CEO of Renault in Morocco Mohamed Bachiri.
The cutting-edge hybrid technology is in line with the electrification technologies and opens the car industry as well as the automotive ecosystem to the transition towards sustainable mobility.
The production capacity of Jogger in Tangier, especially the hybrid 140 version, will reach 120K vehicles yearly.
The Moroccan plant’s employees will undergo technical training on electronics and hybrid technology. An adapted robotisation project is also planned.
