Tunisian interior minister Taoufik Charfeddine resigned, Friday, from his position and was immediately replaced by former governor of Tunis Kamal Feki.
President Kais Saied signed two decrees on the reshuffle overnight.
The move by Charfeddine is seen by political analysists as a result of the recent crackdown on opposition leaders.
Over the past weeks, the Tunisian authorities have been targeting opposition figures over the accusation of plotting against the State.
