French Hutchinson company opened, Wednesday in Casablanca, a new site specialized in the manufacture of composite aerospace parts and cabin insulation solutions, said Hutchinson.
The site was inaugurated by Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Chairperson and CEO of Hutchinson Hélène Moreau-Leroy, and Senior EVP, Aerospace, Defense & Industry Philippe Olivier.
Morocco is funding 30% of the €12 million industrial investment in the country’s Aerospace ecosystem.
The new 4.0 workshop, dedicated to the manufacture of composite parts and insulation solutions for the aerospace industry, takes an eco-friendly approach that reduces material waste rates by 10% and recycles 80% of the remaining waste.
The facility will manufacture composite equipment and insulation blankets. It will support the growth of aerospace activities in Morocco and consolidate Hutchinson’s production capacity for the Boeing B787/B777 and Airbus A330/A220 programs.
The new site secures 400 additional jobs, including 50 positions for engineers.
The facility is equipped with the most recent requirements of the world’s top aviation contractors, with cutting-edge technology as well as a wide range of insulation systems that are among the most effective in the world.
