King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences to President of Gabon Ali Bongo Ondimba, following the sinking of the Esther Miracle ferry off Libreville.
The King said he was saddened by the news on the sinking of the Esther Miracle ferry off the coast of Libreville. “In these painful circumstances, I extend to you my heartfelt condolences”.
The Monarch also conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved families and all the people of Gabon.
The Esther Miracle ferry was carrying 161 passengers from Libreville to Port-Gentil when it sank close to the coastal village of Nyonie on March 9.
The death toll of the incident is 21 individuals, according to media outlets.
