Aterian, the metal-focused development company, announced on Tuesday the discovery of high-grade copper reported from outcrop sampling in the Marrakech-Safi region.
The copper deposits include 4.43 % Cu and 3.11 % Cu from brecciated vein samples in the “Jbilet Est Project” near Marrakech.
The project covers an area of 45.3 km2 and is underlain by Palaeozoic metamudstones and quartzites proximal to Hercynian-age granite and mafic intrusive bodies
Chairperson of Aterian Charles Bray announced that the results are encouraging and demonstrate the great potential of the company’s copper portfolio in Morocco.
The project is one of Aterian’s 15 copper, silver, and base metal assets in Morocco, which span over an area of 762 km2.
