The Algerian government reshuffle which led to the dismissal, Monday, of Foreign Minister Ramtane Laamamra, is due to his serious health condition and not to political divergences, informed sources reported.
Laamamra, who was replaced by Ahmed Attaf, was admitted to a hospital in Paris to treat a tumor.
His family members, including his daughter who works at the Algerian embassy in Paris, have been waiting at the health facility to receive news about him.
After waiting few days for signs of improvement, the Algerian authorities decided to replace Laamamra as his position cannot remain vacant for long.
