The Committee on Social Sectors at the Moroccan Lower House approved by the majority, on Thursday, bill No. 11.22 on the creation of the Moroccan Agency for Blood and its derivatives.
Minister of Health Aït Taleb accepted the four amendments presented by the parliamentary groups in this regard.
The Agency is expected to replace the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Hematology (CNTSH) and all regional blood transfusion centers.
The bill includes provisions aimed at developing stocks of blood to meet national needs and ensure the availability, safety, and quality of all blood products.
It also includes provisions on the administrative and management bodies, as well as on the operating rules of the Board of Directors.
