The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Portuguese Football Federation are discussing the option to include Morocco in their bid to host the 2030 World Cup, wrote Spanish sports news outlet “as”.
Morocco’s membership will be meticulously discussed in the following weeks, as its definitive inclusion will be linked to Ukraine’s withdrawal from the joint bid, it said.
Ukraine’s participation as host nation, which was declared in October, is presently in doubt owing to the continuing investigation of suspected corruption involving Ukrainian Football Federation (UAF) President Andriy Pavelko.
The RFEF is holding talks with Morocco to strengthen the solidity of the Iberian Bid.
