Teheran and Riyadh decided, on Friday, to resume ties after 4 days of negotiations in Beijing, following seven years of animosity that jeopardized Gulf stability.
Iran and Saudi Arabia decided to re-establish diplomatic ties and revive their embassies and missions in the next two months.
The two countries decided also to revive a security cooperation agreement inked in 2001, as well as accords in trade, economy and investment.
The agreement was signed by Iran’s top security official Ali Shamkhani , and Saudi Arabia’s national security adviser Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.
