Morocco over-ranked the Maghreb region countries concerning global soft power with 39.2 points, according to the 2023 Global Soft Power Index (GSPI) produced by British company “Brand Finance”.
Morocco is followed by Tunisia with 36.4 points (83 globally) and Algeria with 36 points (86 globally).
The country took the 3rd spot among African countries after Egypt (43 points) and South Africa (42.5 points).
The African country ranked 55 globally out of 121 countries.
The United States outranked all countries with 74.8 points out of 100.
“Morocco has built a rare combination of assets that is of high value in the current context of value chains reorganization and decarbonization, said Director General of Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development “AMDIE” Ali Seddiki.
