Bio Cannat Cooperative launched, on Monday, the building works of the first Moroccan factory tasked with processing cannabis and extracting components for nutritional and medicinal uses, according to the cooperative’s Facebook page.
The cooperative, located in Bab Bard near Chefchaouen (North), obtained the authorization for cannabis industrialization and processing last October.

The use of cannabis for medicinal and therapeutic uses was legalized in Morocco, in 2021, under law 13.21.
