Morocco won the first edition of the African Nations Surfing Championship “Africa Surfing Games”.
The Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation organized the competition in which Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Ghana, and Congo took part.
The surfers competed in various categories, including Surf Open, Surf Women and Juniors (boys and girls). Longboard and bodyboard will be added in future editions.
The competition will help boost the image of surfing in Africa and lead to the growth and development of this sport in the continent.
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the African Surfing Confederation.
