Moroccan Zineb Britel and Laura Pujol created “Zyne”, a 100% traditional shoe brand, to highlight Moroccan heritage and craftsmanship internationally, according to Forbes.
In an interview, the designers said that the brand, that brought Moroccan “Babouches” to light, is a mixture of uniqueness, comfort, versatility and culture.
The brand’s best-selling shoes vary greatly based on the market and area. It has a wide variety of luxurious and stylish options, such as sandals, flats and heels.
Zyne has recreated the babouche shoe in raffia, leather, satin, silk satin, velvet, jacquard, and other materials, embellished with Swarovski crystals, beads and embroidery.
While Zyne is still primarily an e-commerce brand, the business has always kept a showroom in Casablanca, Morocco, where it is headquartered.
