President of “The All Progressives Congress” party Bola Tinubu won the presidential election in Nigeria with 8.8 million votes.
The candidate of People’s Democratic Party Atiq Abubakar got 6.9 million votes and the candidate of Workers’ Party Peter Obi got 6.1 mln votes.
Tinubu also won more than 25% of the votes in at least two-thirds of the country’s states in addition to the metropolitan area of Abuja, which is an essential requirement to win the presidency.
Tinubu said in his acceptance speech, back in 2022, that Nigeria can build a nation like Morocco.
It is expected that Tinubu will continue strengthening his country’s relations with Morocco, as well as sign several bilateral cooperation agreements in the fields of agriculture, fishery, air services and renewables.
King Mohammed VI paid a visit to Nigeria in 2016 during which he launched a strategic partnership to develop the fertilizer industry in the country.
