The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) voiced, in its 34th conference held in Baghdad on Feb. 25-26, its unequivocal rejection of the arrogant guardianship approach and interference by the European Parliament (EP) in the domestic affairs of many Arab countries.
The AIPU stressed its denunciation of the EP’s tutelage policy and snobbishness towards independent Arab countries.
The AIPU also warned against the consequences of politicizing the human rights issue, or any other issue, based on groundless, incredible information.
A Moroccan parliamentary delegation, led by Deputy Speaker of the Lower House Hassan Bin Omar, took part in the conference that was themed “Arab support for strengthening Iraq’s stability and sovereignty”, the House said in a statement.
