The trial of Moroccan iconic singer Saad Lamjarred started on Monday in Paris over the alleged rape of a 20 years old French girl.
Lamjarred is accused of aggravated rape and assault of a young French girl at a luxury hotel on the Champs-Elysees in October 2016, while he was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.
The Moroccan singer denied the allegations, however, he is facing up to 20 years in prison if found guilty.
Lamjarred acknowledged during the trial that he had occasionally used alcohol and drugs at the time, but has since stopped.
Lamjarred was accused of the same charges in August 2018 at a nightclub in Saint-Tropez.
