Head of National Police (DGSN) and of Territory Surveillance (DGST) Abdellatif Hammouchi received, Tuesday in Rabat, Director of US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Christopher Wray.
According to a DGST statement, this visit is the second of its kind under the current joint working program between the USA and Morocco.
The two parties discussed bilateral cooperation as well as the threats and security challenges associated with transnational crime, added the statement.
The talks focused on examining mechanisms to fight the cross-border mobility of terrorists, sharing information on terrorist organizations, and strengthening operational cooperation against chemical, biological and nuclear threats.
They also talked about expanding bilateral counter-terrorism cooperation to the Sahel region.
Hammouchi paid a visit to the USA in June 2022, during which he met with the Director of American Intelligence Services, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and the FBI Director.
