Nearly 2 Tons of Cannabis Resin Seized South of Morocco

Police services in Laayoune foiled, Tuesday morning, an international drug smuggling operation, and seized 1 ton and 829 Kg of cannabis resin.
According to a statement by the National Police (DGSN), an inflatable boat, 51 bundles of drug, two inflatable boats, two outboard engines, and 229,660 MAD were seized in Tarfaya city’s outskirts (70 km away from Laayoune),
Seven individuals were arrested, aged 35 to 49, for alleged involvement in international drug trafficking.
The suspects were remanded in police custody to complete the investigation, under the supervision of the public prosecutor.
