The Public Prosecutor at the Criminal Court in Constantine decided to release the mother of Algerian activist Amira Bouraoui, while placing her under judicial supervision.
The other defendants are arrested and remanded in custody awaiting the trial.
“Algerie Part” owner Abdou Semmar said that the gendarmerie arrested the suspects, who aided Bouraoui to cross to the Tunisian borders. They will be brought to the Public Prosecution as part of a criminal investigation.
They are journalist Mustapha Bendjama, researcher Raouf Farah and his father, and Bouraoui’s relative Yacine Bentayeb. The taxi driver’s fate remains unknown.
