Many associations of Polisario’s terrorism victims have expressed their rejection of the Spanish political party (Podemos) proposal, which provides for granting the Spanish citizenship to Sahrawis, EFE news agency reported.
The proposal, which was submitted on Wednesday, aims to naturalize Sahrawis who were born before Feb. 26, 1976 in the Moroccan Sahara, when this territory was under Spanish colonialism.
The associations denounced the degrading nature of this proposal, because it “humiliates the victims” of Polisario’s terrorist acts, and demanded that this parliamentary initiative be stopped.
The victims called on the government to refrain from granting benefits to the Polisario leaders and members, who have not collaborated with the justice to expose the barbaric acts of terrorism committed against Spanish nationals.
