55 human rights organizations from different countries condemned the Algerian regime’s decision to disband the Algerian League for the Defense of Human Rights (LADDH) and urged it to reconsider it.
The dissolution decision was issued by the Algiers Administrative Court on January 18.
In their statement, they called on the Algerian authorities to respect Individual Freedoms, and support, rather than repress, women and human rights activists.
The human rights organizations that condemned the decision belong to the States of Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, France, Belgium, and Norway.
