Head of European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso is paying a visit to Morocco on Feb. 15-17, according to a press release by the Bank.
Renaud-Basso confirmed EBRD’s willingness to support Morocco’s economic growth, regional integration, and green economy potential while promoting equal opportunities, mainly regarding the fight against youth unemployment and gender inequality.
She stated that the bank plans to strengthen its partnership with Morocco through a new country strategy that will be finalized this year, and will complement the New Development Model in Morocco.
In 2022, the Bank invested 528 Mln euros in the Moroccan private sector and green transition.
Morocco is a founding member of the EBRD. The Bank has invested, so far, more than 4 billion euros in Morocco in 94 projects.
