French Deputy to European Parliament (MEP), Thierry Mariani, said that the EU-Morocco collaboration, which is the cornerstone of European policy in Africa and the Mediterranean, should continue.
During the European Parliament (EP) plenary session, on Monday, Mariani described the ties between the EU and Morocco as essential, particularly in terms of migration, economy, security, and geopolitics.
The MEP condemned the most recent resolution by the EU legislative institution, which is unfriendly to the Kingdom and calls into question the Moroccan judiciary.
He said he is surprised that a certain “Sahara intergroup” is still promoting polisario’s theses and spreading Algeria’s discourse in this part of the world.
The Moroccan Parliament decided on Jan. 23 to reconsider its relations with the European Parliament (EP), following its latest stance on the freedom of speech and journalism in the Kingdom.
