Francisco Marhuenda, editorialist and director of Spanish paper “La Razon”, said in his latest opinion piece that some European attitudes towards Morocco seem a bit racist and neocolonial.
Marhuenda, also a former deputy of the Parliament of Catalonia, explained that this superiority demonstrated by Europe towards what used to be its colonies “is irritating, even insulting.”
In his article entitled “Our Neighbor and Ally”, Marhuenda described Morocco as a great Country.
Marhuenda strongly criticized the extreme left-wing group Podemos, which did not intend to travel to Rabat and instead voiced its support for the polisario through other media outlets.
The Spanish editorialist slammed Europeans for their arrogance in dealing with emerging democracies or democracies in the making, reminding them that they are in no position to be giving lessons.
He also lauded Morocco’s accomplishments, calling it a key element of stability in the Maghreb.
