Morocco’s embassy in Baghdad will reopen on Saturday, according to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
Spokesperson of the ministry Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said that Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita is expected to meet with his Iraqi peer Fuad Hussein.
The meeting will be crowned by the signature of a memorandum of understanding to strengthen bilateral relations.
Morocco closed its embassy in Baghdad in February 2016, due to the deteriorating security situation caused by ISIS.
