French Hacker Sébastien Raoult was deported, on Wednesday, to the United States over cybercrimes, after being detained Morocco, in Tiflet 2 prison, for over seven months.
Raoult, aged 21, had been arrested on May 31, 2022, in Morocco following a red notice issued by Interpol at the request of the American justice. The hacker is facing 116 years of prison.
He is accused by the FBI of fraud, digital abuse, identity theft, and membership in the ShinyHunters, a group of “cybercriminals” suspected by the U.S. justice system of being behind corporate cyberattacks.
In August, Morocco’s Court of Cassation issued a “favorable opinion” for the extradition of the Frenchman.
