Moroccan actress Khadija Assad passed away on Wednesday at the age of 71 after battling a long illness.
The actress was discharged from hospital following her failing health due to cancer.
The iconic actress had gained fame by playing the main character in the “Lalla Fatima” sitcom.
The Moroccan figure marked the art scene with numerous series, films, and TV programs such as Les Casablancais in 1998, Number One in 2008, and L’Appât in 2010.
Aziz Saadallah, Assad’s husband and also a well-known actor, died in 2020.
