The national anti-cold snap program was launched, Wednesday, in favor of populations facing the cold wave in remote areas, especially in the High and Middle Atlas, said the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in a statement.
The first phase of the relief plan will target Midelt, Khenifra, Azilal, and Al Houaz provinces.
Humanitarian aid will be dispatched to families in remote villages. Important human and logistical resources will be used to this end, in coordination with the Interior Ministry and local authorities.
All families will benefit from foodstuffs and blankets, according to the statement.
