Pedro Sánchez, Head of Spanish government, said the MEPs from his party (PSOE) disagreed with the European Parliament’s resolution against Morocco and voted against it. In a press conference with French president Emmanuel Macron, Sánchez said the socialist Spanish MEPs do not approve of some elements of this resolution, and consequently voted against it, as they did in other votes. Sánchez stressed that bilateral relations are doing well, recalling that the Morocco-Spain High-Level Summit is scheduled on Feb. 1-2 in Rabat. 17 MEPs from the Spanish Socialist Party have voted, on Thursday, against the European Parliament’s resolution on press freedom in Morocco.
