Russia has increased its diesel supply to Morocco in order to reroute oil exports ahead of an EU embargo, said Reuters.
Diesel deliveries from Russia to Morocco increased to 735,000 tonnes in 2022, up from 66,000 tonnes in the previous year, and have totaled over 140,000 tonnes since the beginning of 2023.
Several shipments were also delivered from Russia to Turkey, Ghana, Senegal, Libya, Uruguay, and Cote D’Ivoire.
The European Union has decided a total ban on Russian oil product imports beginning February 2023.
