Police services arrested, Monday in Casablanca, six illegal migrants from sub-Saharan Africa over non-compliance, violence, stone-throwing against policemen, damage to public property, and illegal residence.
Police officers were injured and their cars damaged while trying to free up space occupied by the illegal migrants.
Public order was restored, the area cleared and the suspects were remanded in police custody to complete the investigation.
The search is still on to arrest other individuals involved in the riot.
