Peru’s Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation has resumed, recently, discussions with the Moroccan Embassy in Peru in order to receive a donation of 150,000 tons of urea for Peruvian farmers.
This comes following a political freeze between the two countries.
Nelly Paredes, Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation said that the ministry had contacted Morocco’s Embassy in Peru asking for a joint meeting to be held with the Agrarian Commission and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Morocco chose, last October, to recover afirst shipment of urea after Lima became the country’s black sheep for the third time when former President Pedro Castillo revised Peruvian policy on the separatist movement of polisario.
