Moroccan imam (religious leader) Hassan Iquioussen arrived, Friday in Casablanca, coming from Brussels Zaventem Airport after his expulsion from Belgium.
Iquioussen’s sister confirmed that the latter would stay with her in the city of Casablanca.
Hassan Iquioussen is thought to have escaped France to Belgium. Authorities in northern France are accusing the imam of inciting hatred and anti-Semitism, and calling for women’s submission.
This comes after the Belgian judiciary refused, last October, to implement the European arrest warrant against the Moroccan Imam, initiated by the French judiciary for evading the deportation order.
