Spanish foreign minister José Manuel Albares announced on Wednesday that Morocco and Spain will hold, on Feb. 1-2 in Rabat, a high level meeting, the first in seven years.
The official, who was on a visit to Niger as part of a tour in West Africa, noted that the meeting falls within the framework of the roadmap agreed upon by the two parties.
The Spanish delegation will be led by head of government Pedro Sánchez and will include senior officials. The two sides are expected to finalize dozens of agreements.
According to Spanish paper “The Objective”, the five ministers of Podemos Party will not be attending the event due to their stand on the Sahara issue.
