The union of road transportation workers, under the Moroccan Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT), renewed its call on the Competition Council to look into suspected uncompetitive practices in the hydrocarbon distribution market.
The union recalled its grievance procedure, filed with the body on Nov. 15, 2016, about the suspicions of uncompetitive practices. The procedure prompted the Competition Council to convene on July 21-22 July, 2020 and resulted in the postponement of the request pending the revision of the legal framework.
This request comes after the enforcement, starting Dec, 15. 2022, of the new law on price liberalization and competition.
