Morocco ranked 6th among Arab countries concerning the global state of peace in 2022, according to the Global Peace Index (GPI) produced by the Sydney-based Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP).
The North African country is followed by Tunisia, Bahrain and Algeria, said the think tank.
Morocco ranked 74 globally in terms of ongoing domestic and international conflict, societal safety and security, militarization, and economic cost of violence.
Qatar outranked all Arab countries by taking the 23rd spot.
According to the report, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) improved by 1.4% from 2021 to 2022.
Syria is the least peaceful country, followed by Russia and Ukraine with the largest deterioration in peacefulness due to ongoing conflict.
