King Mohammed VI recognized Aboukhlal’s commitment and discipline, in a personal letter to the international.
Following the historic achievement in the 2022 World Cup by the Moroccan football team, Zakaria Aboukhlal received a handwritten letter from King Mohammed VI, as did all his fellow players.
The King’s letter emphasized the player’s patriotism and a good representation of his country at the international level.
The King acknowledged Zakaria’s role in the great achievement of the National Team by scoring the second goal in the Morocco-Belgium match and opening the gate of qualification.
The King’s recent letter enumerating the player’s qualities did not stop the “AchKayen” e-paper from writing its defamatory article to attack and accuse Aboukhlal of Salafism and extremism.
